We Welcome You
  Walking Warriors

To every member of our military — past and present, from every branch and every walk of life — welcome home.

Here, your story matters. Whether it’s something you’ve seen, something you’ve felt, or something imagined from the depths of your creative fire, this is your space to speak, to remember, to rebuild, and to create.

Walking Warriors was born from the belief that silence should never be the only option. You’ve carried the weight of service, of memory, of moments that changed you — and now, you have a place to set that weight down and turn it into words, art, or myth.

You can be as visible or as incognito as you choose. You can write truth, fiction, or something in between. You can whisper, shout, or simply let your imagination breathe.

This is not therapy. This is testimony through creation — a sanctuary where your voice can finally walk free.

Welcome to the portal. Welcome to the house you helped build. Welcome to Walking Warriors — where stories march forward, and silence ends.

In 1982, twenty‑year‑old Michele Maday opened her door and vanished into silence. Her killer, linked to scores of women, was remembered by almost no one.

Say Her Name walks the Texas Killing Fields and the shadow of Coral Eugene Watts, refusing to let the disappeared remain erased. It is testimony — grief shaped into resistance. We walk because they cannot. We speak because they were silenced.

Inspirator

(noun) One who sparks courage, creativity, or action in another; a person whose presence or story ignites something powerful within you.

Usage in the Realm: An Inspirator is not merely admired — they are the quiet flame behind a lantern, the whisper that nudges a warrior forward, the spark that helps a Mythmaker step through her portal.

The Mythmaker’s Note on New Words

As it happens from time to time in this realm, new words are born when the old ones simply aren’t big enough to hold the meaning. In this instance, the word is Inspirator — created to describe someone whose presence sparks a story into being. The definition is noted above, but in this specific case, Michael T. Murphy was the Inspirator for this chapbook.
